WVLP 16 session 3

Washita Valley Leadership Program Class 16 met for Rural Health session on November 12, 2009. The class visited Anadarko Physician's Hospital, Fort Cobb Clinic, and Carnegie Tri-County Municipal Hospital. Several speakers presented to the class on various topics including long-term care, the Ombudsman organization, hospice care and estate planning. Also the class toured the facilities at each site. It was a busy and educational day. The next session will be held on December 10 in Hinton on economic development and tourism.

The Washita Valley Leadership Program Class 16 meet for its Area Agriculture tour on October 13, 2009. Even though the weather was a little wet & drizzly, it was a great day to visit some area farms and agriculture-related businesses. We set out early in the morning, traveled many miles, had a delicious lunch at at Woods & Waters Winery & Bistro, and gathered a wealth of information. It was an exciting day on the farm!

Washita Valley Leadership Class XVI session 1



Welcome to Washita Valley Leadership Program Class 16. Our kickoff session was held on September 17, 2009, at Caddo Kiowa Technology Center. Dr. Gary Richetto of Triad Associates presented to the class on leadership styles and teambuilding. There are 19 members of the class this year from various communities in Caddo and Kiowa Counties. The next meeting of WVLP will be held on October 13, 2009. The topic will be area agriculture and will be a traveling presentation of Caddo County ag businesses.

The year has gone so quickly. . .This is the final blog for Washita Valley Class 15. Our final class was held at Caddo Kiowa. Kami Kuykendall presented to the class on business communications and teamwork. It was a very interactive and interesting day. The evaluations are in and it looks like another winner! Enjoy the pics of the day.



Graduation was held on April 21, 2009 at Caddo Kiowa Technology Center. The group enjoyed meeting guests who joined us for the evening then a meal of catfish & brisket. Conni even brought our Washita Valley baby: her nephew who was born during our state government session in March 09.

Washita Valley Leadership Program graduated 17 members this year. I truly believe each one of them will use the skills & networking from the program to make their communities better and better. We had a great year and a great evening.

WVLP Class 15 State Government Session


On March 10-11, 2009, the Washita Valley Leadership Program met in Oklahoma City for the State Government session. The agenda was jam-packed with activities and visits with our Oklahoma State Officials. Check out our pictures!






Our next (and last) session for Class 15 will be on April 14 at Caddo Kiowa Technology Center and the topic will be business communications. Graduation is coming soon (April 21). The year has gone quickly, and it's been a great class!
