WVLP Class 15, Session 6

The Washita Valley Leadership Program met on February 19 for the local and county government class session. The agenda was full, and we enjoyed speakers from our local communities and heard from our elected county officials. The class really became involved as two of our own members, Ranel Lasley and Lisa Root were part of the program. Later in the day, Philip Smith, Caddo County Jail Administrator took us on a tour of the courthouse and county jail. It was a busy and informative day, and we're looking forward to the state government class which will be held on March 10 & 11 at the State Capitol. Class 15 is turning out to be one of the best leadership classes ever!

The Washita Valley Leadership Program met at the Anadarko Community Library on January 15, 2009, for a Youth and Education Session. Speakers included Judge Wyatt Hill of Caddo County, Dusty Dowdle of Caddo & Grady Counties Methamphetamine Task Force, Robbin Sanders and Karen McCullough from two Caddo County Schools, Julie Miller from the State School Board Association, and Tim Allen from the State Treasurer's office. We had a fabulous lunch from the Soda Fountain Eatery, and it was an interesting and informative day! Enjoy the pictures! Cindy
